Sophia Grace, the 8-year-old who rose to fame alongside her niece Rosie McClelland in 2011 for their portrayal of Nikki Minaj’s Super bass, is pregnant. Yes, it’s been eleven years since the kids got famous and got jobs as correspondents on The Ellen Degeneres Show. In May 2022, Sophia talked about her best memory of the show:
“One of them was probably with Drake. Because me and my dad have always been big fans. I just saw him casually coming across the Grammy carpet when we were there, and I was like, ‘Drake, my dad loves you so much.’ And we had a chat with him.”
Grace made the most of her Ellen fame and launched a social media career that has attracted millions of subscribers and followers.
Sophia revealed that she has been dating for two years but has not revealed her boyfriend’s identity
Sophia didn’t mention her boyfriend in her pregnancy announcement video, but she had previously talked about being in a two-year relationship. According to MiauwGrace reportedly said:
“I keep that side of my life pretty private, but I do have a boyfriend and I’ve been with him for maybe two years, but I don’t post him on Instagram or anything.”
Grace said she was shocked to learn about the pregnancy. “I was very shocked when I first found out, [and] I’ve gotten used to it now and I’m super, super happy with it,” she said.
Sophia said she waited until she was 21 weeks pregnant before opening up because she wanted to confirm she and the baby were healthy. Grace gave a chronology of the pregnancy and said she heard the fetal heartbeat during her 17-week doctor’s appointment. Grace continued:
“I’m so glad I finally told everyone. I felt very, very sick for a long time. It still comes back sometimes now, it’s really really disgusting and it literally ruins your whole day. I don’t know why they call it morning sickness because it lasted all day!”
Grace said she knew the gender of the baby and would reveal it in a future video. She also noted that her videos would focus more on the child and motherhood. Hopefully her boyfriend will appear in those uploads.
Sophia asked people not to post negative comments, and it seems that netizens complied. Grace wrote on Instagram: “Just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of you for all your love and support for my recent video. I am very grateful for all your kind comments.”
