Dark Winds, which premieres this Sunday on AMC, 12 Junestars Zahn McClarnon as Lieutenant Joe Leaphorn, a tribal police officer who, along with his deputy, Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon), must uncover the truth behind a series of crimes on the reservation near Monument Valley.
jessica mats, Noah Emmerich, Deanna Allison and Rainn Wilson also appear on the show. The series is billed as a “black thriller” and is based on the book series Leaphorn & Chee by Tony Hillerman.

AMC has released the official Dark Winds trailer April 18, 2022. The video begins in the 1970s with a gruesome murder scene in a motel. More crimes begin to occur randomly nearby.
Us main character, Joe Leaphorn, is also introduced at this point. Leaphorn turns out to be a determined police officer who will keep digging until the crime is solved.
The trailer also introduces us to Sergeant Manuelito (Matten), FBI Agent Whitover (Emmerich), and Devoted Dan, Leaphorn’s deputy (Wilson).
